This mantle surround is our #1 standard pattern. We call it the ‘Multnomah’ after the county in which our company resides, but it is also known by many other names. You can see variations of this mantle just about anywhere in the country. This version is done in American Cherry and was stained and finished by the customer. Many options are possible with this style. This customer wanted to use a fluted leg rather than the ribbed leg we normally use. Other changes can include plain legs, other crown mouldings styles, a thicker top plate, and the addition of carvings or detail mouldings to the ‘breast plate’ the large vertical board in the center of the mantle.
