This is another of our Multnomah style mantles like Mantle #2. This one is shown in Red Oak. It differs from the Cherry version in that its legs are not as deep, ¾” vs. 3” on the cherry. Also the front of the legs are trimmed with a plain moulding rather than a fluted one. We have also used a ribbed moulding on the legs, a thicker top shelf, wainscot boxes on the breast plate, and alternate crown mouldings to customize this mantle style for various customers. Note the grain pattern detail on the breast plate, the large vertical board on this mantle. This attractive detail in the veneer was noticed and designed into the mantle by our stylish young woodworker shown next to the mantle. He adds so much to this picture don’t you think?
