This customer had a very specific request. Their home is an older upper level home with all Mahogany interior trim. They wanted their mantle to be in Mahogany also which was no problem for us. Then they brought out the design. The customer and their designer had a ‘One of a Kind’, full size detail drawing of the mantle they wanted. It included no standard mouldings at all. All mouldings and details had to be made for this one mantle. A fun challenge for our shop craftsman and the only real problem was that the base moulding in the room had to join into and wrap around the leg of the mantle. This picture does not show the details very well but this was a fun project that was out of the ordinary and allowed our shop people to stretch their creativity.
